Description:
All hardware devices are controlled by built-in software called firmware, which requires periodic updates provided by the hardware vendor, just like any other software. In the case of a video card adapter, the software is stored in non-volatile memory called the BIOS. Updating the BIOS means updating the graphics card's firmware. This application provides the latest BIOS update for NVIDIA based adapters. The software quickly flashes the current BIOS with an updated version. However, if you encounter a problem, do not restart your computer as this may render your graphics card unusable. Just restore the BIOS backup you originally created. This application is a command line utility that runs in a DOS environment. But first, make a backup of your existing BIOS so you have something to fall back on if something goes wrong. To run the application, boot your computer in DOS mode, enter the command “nvflash -b” and press Enter. If you have an NVIDIA card, this application will help you improve its performance. nVFlash is licensed as free software for PCs or laptops running 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems. It is located in the video settings category and is available as a free download for all users of the software.
